Today I’m thankful for Adaptive Cruise Control.
I’m sure there are a few of you that just said, “say what now?”
You see, just recently, God blessed me with me a new car. It’s a Chevy Malibu and its got a bunch of features on it I’m still trying to figure out and one of those features is Adaptive Cruise Control.
I’ve been testing it out the past couple days with and today I successfully used it. It’s basically for stop and go traffic and if cruising on the interstate.
Cruise Control as I’m sure you know allows you to select a certain speed and your car will throttle at that level to remain that speed for you without having your foot on the gas pedal. It’s super convenient for long trips!
Well Adaptive Cruise Control does that and then some. It adjusts your speed automatically depending on traffic in front of you. For example, if I’m on a road going 45 mph and a I am getting close to the car in front of me, my car will adjust speed to remain a safe distance away from it. It goes so far as to even stop if need so. It’s scary and awesome at the time!
Technology these days just blows my mind. It’s amazing what people come up with when they dream and work together.
Do you have adaptive cruise control? Do you like it? Do you hate it? Do you now want it on your car?
