Today I am thankful for my 100th day of writing this blog.
For 100 days I have decided to find one thing to be thankful for. For 100 days I chose to have a different mindset. For 100 days I have written about a new thing to be thankful for. 365 days is a lot of time, but I am 100 days in and that’s worth talking about.
I started this journey not to brag, but to share from my lens an attitude of gratitude. I want to be a thankful person. It’s easy to complain, too easy. Everyone does it, I still do it, but I want to be thankful. I want to teach my kids to be thankful in all things, the big and the small. We have a great big God who has blessed us with much and I for sure don’t want to waste my time complaining about it.
Why did I start this? Here’s part of my reason.
(1 Chronicles 16:34) Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
(1 Thessalonians 5:18) Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus
(Colossians 3:15) Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
(Colossians 3:17) And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
(Colossians 4:2) Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
The Bible makes it pretty clear that we should be thankful. May the Lord help me as I continue this journey. Would you consider joining me? Be thankful with me, write about it, talk about it, share it. Let’s be different and be thankful everyday.
