Today I am thankful for Memorial Day.
Let me be more specific, I’m thankful that we as a country take a day to remember the fallen. America may be free, but it was not free for those who gave their life for freedom.
I live in the greatest country in the World. I’m not ashamed of it. I’m not dissatisfied by it. I’m honored to say it. I’m honored to be a part of the legacy of America.
If it were not for those who gave their life I, we, would not live how we live today. We live in a blessed Country. Yes, it has problems. It’s not perfect because people are not perfect. However, it was the good in people that has helped get our country where we are. There is good in people everywhere. I at least believe it.
Thank you to those who are currently serving or have served. I have a brother and sister who both have served in the Navy and I couldn’t be more proud as a brother.
Lord, I thank you for those who have served and serve this Country and their families. I ask Lord that you would be with the families of the fallen today. That you would comfort them, bring them peace and bless them this day. I thank you for the bravery given to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. I am grateful for all. May we never forget or become complacent in the sacrifice made. God Bless America! In Jesus Name, Amen.
