Today I am thankful for a great first day on the 5th grade mission trip.
This morning was a bit of a late start due to getting in so late the night before. It was a long flight, but we made it!
After filling out stomachs with Chik-fila, we got set up for our first jobs of the day. We split into groups to go mow lawns, organize the pantry bank and set up another building with chairs and tables.
After lunch, we headed off to a local school to pull weeds and help beatify their campus. We loaded several wheel barrels of mulch and pulled several bags of weeds. It’s always so incredible to watch how hard these kids work this week.
We closed off the night with some canvasing near the church we will be hosting a VBS at. The church we are partnering with had a large group of volunteers ready to serve. That is always awesome! All the church leaders and our kids are excited about the VBS the next couple days. It’s gonna be amazing! Praising Him!
